Charlotte Posenenske. Work in Progress
In the 1960s, at the same time as American Minimal Art and the emergence of conceptual art, Charlotte Posenenske (1930–1985) developed an impressive collection of minimalist works within just twelve years, demonstrating her innovative understanding of art. With loans from museums and private collections in North America and Europe, as well as informative documentation and archive material, the exhibition presents the individual phases of the artist’s oeuvre. Her rapid development from classical painting to installation art in public spaces will thus be made comprehensible in an impressive way.
