Hamersley

This work is a part of the Earth matters collection. Hamersley range is the tallest iron ore mountain in the Pilbara area of Western Australia. The Pilbara area consists of many rich Iron Ore deposits that are heavily mined, and natural environments destroyed in the process. Hamersley Encompasses some of the different forms of natural matter that are produced by the earth and transformed through human intervention in the name of progression. The materials used in this piece originate from the earth. The different elements, methods and formed lines highlight the life cycle of naturally occurring materials on their journey to becoming part of the industrial world in which we inhabit.
