From October 27, 2018 to January 13, 2019, a public exhibit with an overview on Stephan Balkenhol’s works will take place for the first time in Belgium at the Cultuurcentrum Scharpoord in Knokke. The Deweer Gallery and the MDZ Art Gallery took this opportunity to organize a parallel sales exhibition of works by the internationally renowned artist, who is regarded as a pioneer of contemporary figurative sculpture, from October 26, 2018 to December 3, 2018.
Call for Artists for the International Sculpture Center
An international sculpture center is being built in a small mountain village with just 200 inhabitants in Switzerland. The valley, already known for its Peccia marble, will now be complemented with all the disciplines and materials of sculpture. With the "Centro Internazionale di Scultura" and the "Scuola di Scultura" Peccia, located in the Maggia Valley of Ticino, will have a training and meeting place for contemporary sculpture that is unique throughout Europe.
Emerging Italian Sculpture on Display in Milan
The fourth edition of Milano Scultura, the first and only Italian fair dedicated to three-dimensional art, directed by Ilaria Centola and curated by Valerio Dehò, has just ended.
