The Hannah Peschar Sculpture Garden

Heralded as the first of it's kind in the UK, The Hannah Peschar Sculpture Garden has been proudly exhibiting contemporary sculpture in a unique and magical environment for 35 years. Broadleaved plants and mature trees support, frame and enhance a changing collection of contemporary sculpture in this stunning garden. The Sculpture Garden was the brainchild of owner and curator Hannah Peschar over 30 years ago, and has grown from a handful of sculptures to over 200 pieces exhibited every summer. The range of works selected by the curators is wide with styles varying from figurative to highly abstract, innovatively using contemporary metals, wire, glass, ceramics and plastics as well as the more traditional stone, wood and bronze. Each sculpture is placed in a carefully considered and meaningful relationship with the other featured works within the garden, created by co-curator and award-winning landscape designer, Anthony Paul. The result is an inspired combination of peaceful, enclosed harmony and dramatic, surprise vistas in an ever-changing environment. In 2016 owner and curator Hannah Peschar retired, stepping back to allow a new pairing of curators to add their stamp to the Sculpture Garden. Curator Vikki Leedham and Anthony Paul now work in partnership to curate each year's exhibition. We are open for the summer season from the first weekend in April until the end of October 2018. Opening Hours: Thursday to Saturday, & Bank Holiday Monday - 11am to 6pm Sunday - 2pm to 5pm Open for appointments only for groups of four or more adults on Tuesday and Wednesday, and closed on (non Bank Holiday) Monday.
